Medivet Thurmaston

I have been attending Medivet since 26th December with an ongoing issue, and after Dr Kishen Parekh returned from leave, the difference in care was immediately and unmistakably clear. His level of clinical competence, professionalism, and genuine compassion is truly outstanding. Dr Parekh has an exceptional ability to communicate complex medical information in a way that is clear, calm, and easy to understand. He took the time to explain every detail thoroughly, answered all my questions with patience, and made sure I fully understood both the problem and the treatment plan. This level of reassurance and transparency made an incredibly stressful situation far more manageable. Despite trying various medications previously with no success, Dr Parekh quickly identified the need for a different approach. Acting on his advice, my dog was hospitalised, and the results were nothing short of remarkable. Within just 24 hours of treatment, my dog was completely transformed — energetic, happy, and back to behaving like a puppy again. His diagnosis, plan, and expectations were all spot on. What truly sets Dr Parekh apart is not just his medical expertise, but his genuine care for both animals and their owners. He treats pets as if they were his own and shows real empathy and understanding towards the families who love them. His confidence is reassuring, his manner is professional yet warm, and his dedication is evident in every interaction. I only wish I had seen Dr Parekh from the very beginning. The outcome speaks for itself — my dog is now happy, healthy, and running around again thanks entirely to his expertise. I will not be seeing anyone else in the future. Dr Parekh is an absolute credit to Medivet and the veterinary profession. Thank you so much once again — I truly have my dog back because of him.

Yes they are open 24/7 and I was able to get an appointment within half an hour on a Saturday morning. However, the prices they charge are atrocious. They should be making it affordable, especially for people on benefits and on low income. Pets health should be more important than lining their pockets. They are in the wrong profession in my opinion. Just in it for the money, not about care and love for animals.

A very professional and friendly service, we were looking after a puppy that suddenly became unwell, we called Medivet and the lady who answered the call was so helpful. We were booked in the same day and the puppy was promptly seen and given medication. Thank you for being so kind and reassuring we highly recommend Medivet to all pet owners.

Incredible care from Dr. Parekh at Medivet Thurmaston I saw Dr. Parekh on Monday regarding an issue another vet had been unsure about. My boy had previously been given treatment by a different vet, but it made no difference. As soon as Dr. Parekh saw him, he immediately decided that further investigation was needed — and within just two days, we had the results. Sadly, it turned out my sweet boy had a tumour that needed urgent removal. Dr. Parekh managed to get us booked in for surgery the very next day. Within just a few days of seeing him, the investigation, diagnosis, and operation were all completed. What an incredible vet he is! He is a massive asset to Medivet — I truly hope he stays at Medivet Thurmaston forever. He's the best vet I've come across. His communication is exceptional — he explains things clearly and makes sure you're fully informed and comfortable every step of the way. Thank you so much, Dr. Parekh!

I couldn’t recommend these vets enough. I rang in desperate need as was turned down by 3 other vets who weren’t prepared to help as it was past scanning hours. Medivet were the only ones prepared to help and I cannot thank them enough for their kindness to us and my little lady Olive. Despite us not getting the outcome we all wanted (and I could tell they truly did want her to pull through to), they was amazing. Constant updates, never felt like they was annoyed if we called or wanted to come in to see her. We didn’t feel forced into any decision, not pushy at all. Whilst having to put our olive to rest, they gave us as much time as we needed and was so kind and lovely the whole way through. They truly did everything they could for Olive and for us and for that I cannot thank them enough. Every vet or nurse we had dealings with was so lovely. We have met so many bad ones over the years so dealing with you guys was a true delight and we knew olive was in safe hands. Thankyou so so much for everything. It’s gave us some peace knowing you did everything you could for Olive and whilst she was in your care she was truly lucked after and cared for. Thankyou from us & our little angel Olive 🫒 ❤️‍🩹🪽

I can’t thank the team enough for the amazing care they gave my cat, Tilly. After a previous vet missed something important, they took the time to thoroughly examine her, explain everything clearly, and make sure she got the right treatment. Everyone was kind, patient, and professional, and I felt completely confident that Tilly was in the best hands. She’s now doing so much better thanks to their expertise and dedication. I’m so grateful for the care they provided — I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!
